Hi everyone! I’m Sarah, Agency 102’s intern. April is Intern Awareness Month and we thought it would be fun to share a day in my life! Life as a college student, intern, and everything in-between. I can’t wait to show you how I do it!

Starting my day

I start my mornings around 7:00am, I don’t like to stay up too late unless I have to! This way, I get to fit in a workout, shower, and my makeup and hair before my day starts. I throw on some clothes and head to the gym on campus. I like to hit the elliptical and treadmill since the stairmaster has been broken for months (of course).

It’s better than it looks!

After I come back home and get ready for the day, I make myself breakfast. Today, it was some toast and my green drink. I promise it looks worse than it tastes, it’s a combo of veggies and fruits! (P.S. I have it in my AMA cup- The American Marketing Association is a club at school I’m currently Vice President of)

Classes

Views from my English class

I have two classes today, first is an English class about Digital Media and then Accounting. Before English, I pick up some mail then head to class. English was lecture-style while I had a quiz in Accounting but I enjoyed the variety! I’m not taking many Marketing classes this semester unfortunately, so I’m happy I’m working this internship with Agency 102 to keep up my skills

Speaking of Agency 102…

We had our end of the week meeting this afternoon! Every week, the team comes together to talk about what we did this week, what we expect starting on Monday, and most importantly our weekend plans. It’s a great way to recap with everyone especially because I work remotely! As an intern I have a wide variety of tasks to work on, so after the call I get started by first checking the project management software for updates on tasks. Then, I start on things like this blog post, creating designs in Canva for social posts, and scheduling these in software like Buffer and Sprout Social. I love the variety of work I have especially as client needs change! I work on some tasks, like this blog.

My sorority house

I like to stay out of my apartment when I need to get work done so I decided to stop by my sorority house to do work! It’s a great way to study somewhere pretty (and see some friends!).

Here is my work setup:

(Can you spot my planner? It’s my lifesaver. Between that and my Google Calendar, I’m always on top of assignments and work projects without having to stress!)

Ending my day

To round off the day I pick up some packages on my way back home. Then, I make dinner, practice Duolingo, and hang out with my roommates. While some days may be busier than others, I hope this gives you a good idea of how I balance my time in college! Thanks for tagging along!
