Background

Boston-based mobile optometry company, 2020 On-site, delivers high-quality and accessible eye care to patients in their neighborhoods, apartment complexes, and offices with their fleet of mobile vision clinics. Serving hundreds of corporate clients throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire, the company has helped thousands of patients receive critical eye exams and purchase glasses and contact lenses right onboard their clinics.

 

Opportunity

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020 and offices shut down, 2020 On-site had to pivot their business strategy as they couldn’t serve patients on-site at their offices anymore. This shift in their operations revealed another industry where access to eye exams was critical: clinical research.

During the pandemic, clinical trials were essentially halted due to transportation closures and fear around travel. 2020 On-site recognized this opportunity to not only deliver safe and accessible vision assessments to clinical trial patients, but they are now helping to alleviate travel barriers patients are typically met with if they live in rural areas, far away from research sites.

As a new player in the clinical research industry, it is an ongoing challenge to bring awareness to Sponsors, CROs, and other industry leaders around the amazing work 2020 On-site can bring to the table. Our goal is to make clinical trials more accessible, allowing for more diverse patient communities to participate in life-saving research.

 

Solution

In what started as a consulting partnership, the 2020 On-site marketing team hired Hannah in November 2020. Since then, the relationship has grown and Agency 102 is primarily representing the “in-house” marketing team for the life science division of the company, working closely with Jessica Mays, Senior Director of Life Sciences.

As the marketing team, we develop marketing strategies and campaigns to bring more awareness to the clinical program’s offerings and nurture leads that come in through multiple channels, like networking or word of mouth. To do so, we manage:

 

  • Lead scoring and nurturing (via HubSpot)
  • Landing page development
  • Monthly email newsletters
  • Weekly social media posts
  • LinkedIn campaigns
  • Press release creation and distribution
  • Design and collateral with Canva
  • Webinar promotion and development
  • Conference prep

  • Monthly reporting and optimizations

 

 

Results

Since our partnership started with 2020 On-site, we have helped facilitate successful content marketing efforts including:

 

  • Acquired 150 webinar attendee submissions
  • Attracted almost 500 new LinkedIn followers
  • Maintained a 20% email open rate

Happy with the results, the company has extended its contract with us with plans of continuing our partnership into 2022.
