Wines That Rock, LLC is a premier lifestyle wine company specializing in bringing one-of-a-kind custom crafted wines together with world-class brands. The founders of Wines That Rock have been at the forefront of bringing pop culture to fans for decades. Originally born out of a passion for music and wine, they launched their namesake collection of classic wines influenced by the spirit of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Further bridging the gap between the arts and wine, they’ve partnered with highly acclaimed brands like Hallmark Channel Wines, WWE Wines, and Star Trek Wines, and continue to expand their portfolio of brands.

 

Opportunity

Wines That Rock works with a number of brand partners to create premium wines that connect brands to fans. As they began to grow their partnerships and introduce more wine brands to the world, they realized they needed more help marketing these wines to their customers and creating strong relationships with fans online.

WTR saw an opportunity to focus their efforts on an effective social media marketing strategy that could increase awareness of their wine brands and boost sales. Instead of a reactive social media strategy, they sought to create a more strategic and proactive plan to engage followers, build their community online, and, in turn, increase revenue as a secondary goal of organic social media efforts.

 

Solution

Wines That Rock hired Agency 102 to create and maintain a social media marketing strategy for eight of their brand partner’s social media accounts including Star Trek Wines, WWE Wines, Hallmark Channel Wines, Joyful Heart Wine Co., 96 Points (their own brand!), TCM Wine Club, NPR Wine Club, and the Wines That Rock main account.

 

Working closely with the Wines That Rock team and their brand partners, we continue to develop social media marketing strategies and campaigns to promote awareness and sales of their wines, and grow membership of their wine clubs. To date, we manage:

  • Daily community management including responding to direct messages and comments about products, promotions, and more
  • Weekly social media posts that align with sales and promotions, relevant holidays, and partner brand events (e.g. Hallmark Channel movie premieres)
  • Design and collateral with Canva that follows brand guidelines
  • Create quizzes and polls within the Instagram app or with third-party tools like WooBox
  • Using product video to create Instagram reels
  • Incorporating user-generated content into weekly posts
  • Monthly reporting and optimization

 

 

Results

Since our partnership started with Wines That Rock, we have helped facilitate impactful social media marketing efforts that has resulted in metrics such as:

 

  • Star Trek Wines gained 246 new followers on Instagram and engagement increased by 127%
  • TCM Wine Club gained 121 new followers on Instagram and engagement increased by 310%
  • Hallmark Channel Wines gained 524 new followers on Instagram
  • 96 Points Instagram engagement increased by 270%
  • NPR Wine club Instagram engagement increased by 1,553% and reached 1,260 accounts (increase of 673%)
  • Joyful Heart Wine Co. gained 263 followers on Instagram
  • Star Trek Wines sales attributed to Agency 102 includes $350.42 by Instagram and $903.06 by Facebook
  • Joyful Heart Wine Co. sales attributed to Agency 102 includes $673.96 by Instagram
  • Hallmark Channel Wines sales attributed to Agency 102 includes $207.74 by Instagram
